IFIS is partner in the cooperation project Cohere+ project, which is supported by the EU Erasmus+ funding. We started with a bold vector goal: "Field intelligence and Technology to uplevel the collective capacity of social change agents. Learning together how to transform a Metacrisis into a Metamorphosis"
Cohere+ is a collaboration between Emerge, the Ekskäret Foundation, the Institute for Integral Studies, Life Itself, and The Hague Center.
Cohere+ combined research, events, technology development, and educational offerings in order to: map the European ‘transformational change’ field; engage with agents to build community and coherence within the field; and develop the collective capacities of change agents across Europe to co-create regenerative systems and societies and build a learning platform around coherence for system transformation
For Cohere+ the project partner "Life Itself" focused their activities, research and publications on creating a directory, an interactive visual map over 300 social change organisations, and in particular those who can be identified as taking whole-systems, integrative approaches towards paradigmatic societal transformation.
From this mapping Catherine Tran and Elisa Paka from "Life Itself" elaborated a gap analysis around the emergent and future capacities that social change agents will need to increase their impact. 'Emergent Power: Key Challenges and Capacities for Paradigmatic Change Agents' (2024). This gap analysis was vital to develop a taxonomy of collective skills as a basis for building the Cohere+ online learning platform.
Your organisation should be included in the map and the directory?
Please take a moment to dive into the map and if you part of an organisation that you feel should be included, just let us know and send us a message to bettina [dot] geikenifis-freiburg [dot] de (bettina[dot]geiken[at]ifis-freiburg[dot]de)
After having had a look at the maps, we would be be grateful if you could take 5 min to respond to any or all of these questions below. This will help us better understand the impact of our work, and how it could better serve the needs of changemakers:
- Who else do you think should be on the map? (Please give us names and links)
- [Optional] Why? Where on the visual map would you place them?
- What’s your gut reaction to this ecosystem directory and map?
- [Optional] What’s surprising? What piques your curiosity? Can you imagine yourself using it? How?
- Would you like to hear more about the Cohere+ project and receive access to free resources supporting practitioners in the field of transformative systems change, such as online courses and a guide to building communities of coherence?
Looking forward to hearing from you!!!!
