"Doing Politics Differently - Inspirations from integral/metamodern politics" - this was the title of my keynote to the General Assembly of the pan-European VOLT party held in Frankfurt on Nov 23, 2025.

From an integral politics meta-perspective on our current democratic politics, there is plenty of evidence that late modern politics as usual is outdated, increasingly dysfunctional and no longer fit adequate for the purpose to take the necessary decisions in view of build thriving communities on a thriving planet.
Therefore, we need to update our democratic political systems, including our political cultures to new, more adequate operating systems that are deeper, wider and longer, to operating systems that turn them into truly Listening Societies.
As a first step to do this, we need to facilitate spaces for helping our systems to see themselves, in other words, for all of us (WE ARE THE SYSTEM!), citizens, political role holders, leaders in all areas of society alike, to SEE, SENSE, FEEL and ACKNOWLEDGE what is no longer working well - including dynamics that are turning dysfunctional and hence, detrimental to societal wellbeing in the long run.

In my 20-min Keynote on Doing Politics Differently, I propose three simple methods and techniques for implementing the vision of a society that is listening to itself, as spelled out by metamodern politics. Looking forward to see VOLT moving further in this direction.
A big THANK YOU to Lucia Nass, Roberto Bonino and the whole VOLT team for the invitation!
