Details

Simulation games are a great way to explore complex topics in a personal, relatable way. In this colloquium we would like to share our experiences and learn about yours. Angelika will present the 2030 SDGs Game, which aims for participants to experience the intention behind the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) first hand. It is a great example of experiential learning tools focusing on awareness-based systems change. Building on its huge success in Japan, this experiential simulation game is now being rolled-out in Europe.

The game can be combined well with workshops on the SDGs, the related Good Life Goals, the Inner Development Goals (IDGs), team-building, communications, negotiation or leadership. Playful explorations of specific aspects of the SDGs are also, for example, offered by the Climate and Diversity Frescos. Through reflection questions, the participants are sensitized to the respective topics and have the opportunity to practice related conversations.

IFIS is planning to offer the 2030 SDGs Game as part of its anniversary celebration in September 2023. If you are interested in participating on-site in Freiburg, Germany, reserve your free slot here.
